CNC Mill Operator Career Training Program

This training prepares individuals to meet Nevada manufacturers’ need for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Mill Operators.
The training program consists of hands-on NCLab Automation Technician courses followed by in person hands-on courses that cover Raw Stock to Finished Part, CNC G and M Codes, and Machine Operation courses. Students also learn fundamental tool selection, safety procedures, metrology, and reading drawings.
Students also learn soft skills, including problem solving, attention to detail, critical and logical thinking, perseverance, professional communication, time management, and adaptability that employers look for in new employees.
Upon completing the program, graduates have shown that they are able to learn and apply new knowledge and have the skills that their new jobs require. They are also ready to pass industry-recognized certifications that include the ACT Workkeys NCRC (National Career Readiness Certificate), TOSA spreadsheet certificate, ACT WorkKeys Workplace Documents exam, and Haas CNC Mill Certification exam. This program also includes a Career Launch module to help graduates secure great new careers.


Program Prerequisites: 
A grade of A or B in the NCLab Career Readiness Assessment.


Requirements:                        
Trainees need access to a device larger than a phone with an up-to-date internet browser and a stable internet connection. Chromebooks are not recommended.

*Students have three months to complete the online portion starting with the date of enrollment. There is an additional in-person component that may occur after the online self-paced portion is completed. There are multiple cohort options available for this component of the course, to be scheduled independently.
