Manufacturing Technician I Skills Training Program
The College of Southern Nevada’s (CSN) Division of Workforce & Economic Development (DWED) offers a training program that is designed to provide foundational manufacturing skills for local employers and to meet the training requirements for the manufacturing industry. Training will involve a hybrid of online, in-class and hands on experiences. Our goal is to certify those who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies as a manufacturing technician. 

Manufacturing Technician I
Learning Outcomes:

- Industrial Safety and Interpersonal Skills
- Electrical Fundamentals, Control Systems, and Sensors Technology
- Motor Control and VFD Technology
- Fluid Power Fundamentals
- Hand, Power, and Measurement Tools
- Mechanical Drives Systems and Machine Operation Fundamentals

CSN Certificate:  Manufacturing Technician I
*Optional Certificate:  SACA- Motor Control Systems

Training details & requirements:

Duration: 156 hours
Schedule: Tue, Wed, Thu, 4hrs/day - Friday is optional (Open lab or make up classes)
Hours:  8:30am to 12:30pm
Student Capacity: 10 max, 4 min
Location: 2409 Las Verdes St, Las Vegas, NV 89102 – Building A
Training:  In person / Online tasks

Prerequisite: NONE
Required material: Notebook and pen. Hands-on skills guides will be provided to students.
Dress code: Long pants and closed shoes.
