ATTENTION STUDENTS
AHA/Healthcare/EMS Classes will resume May 1, 2020 following the CDC guidelines.
At CSN, we are committed to providing our campus guests with quality services. Given the ever-changing situation surrounding COVID-19 and its’ impact on our community, we wanted to alert you to some potential changes that will impact the delivery of services beginning March 18, 2020.
First, we are following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and local health and safety authorities to limit exposure risks. We want to reassure you that CSN has convened an Incident Management Planning Team (IMPT) to develop a thorough business continuity plan to ensure services hours and/or temporary closures are restored. Currently, we are executing plans to take additional precautionary health measures.
Closure to the general public.
CSN will not be open to the general public in order to mitigate potential exposure to COVID-19. Earlier today Chancellor Reilly directed all NSHE institutions to transition operations to a remote environment no later than Wednesday, March 18. However, we will conduct essential administrative functions and provide on-site core academic and support services to CSN students, as appropriate. Based on input from NSHE’s Emergency Management Coordinator we will be complying with federal guidance that gatherings be limited to no more than 10 people. As a result, CSN is dismissing all classes and labs with 10 or more people in attendance for the rest of the day. This will not impact classes that are already remote. For questions regarding specific classes, or if you would like to reschedule a class you have already paid for, please contact your program manager:
Thank you for supporting CSN in our efforts to help keep our community healthy and safe. For further information on FAQs and to Report Potential Exposure please visit our weblink at www.csn.edu/coronavirus.
