Open to writers of fiction who are ready to share their work! This workshop will explore the five necessary elements of excellent fiction--empathy, significance, originality, urgency, and authenticity--within the context of each participant's original short story. Students should be prepared to submit a short story of no less than 2,000 words for the consideration of their fellow work shoppers. Additional brief reading and writing exercises will enhance the workshop. Students will experience a professional, graduate-school style workshop designed to push their work to the next level.
