The CSN Division of Workforce and Economic Development Manufacturing Skills Training Program provides an opportunity for the student to learn the basic fundamental skills necessary for breaking into the manufacturing industry. This 12-week class will consist of a combination of home study, online e-learning, and hands-on industry approved training labs. This class will focus on Safety, Quality Practices and Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production, and Maintenance Awareness. The training labs will use the latest technology in teaching Electronics & Electricity, Industrial Controls, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Mechanical Drives, and Robotics. Currently the class is offered at no cost to students that meet the following criteria:
A Nevada resident
18 years of age at the completion of the class.
currently not employed in the manufacturing industry
Completion of the ACT Workkeys Assessments, attaining a "silver" level of achievement*
This training will also include attainment of the OSHA-10 safety card.
The funding for this program is made possible through The Governor's Office of Economic Development, and will be available to the first 500 students.
