Facilities Maintenance - Intro to HVAC

INTRO TO HVAC
This course introduces students to the entry-level skills needed to be successful in the Facilities Maintenance and Operations HVAC field. Students will learn through a hybrid of lecture and hands-on training. Modules from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) HVAC Curriculum are combined with labs on state-of-the-art LabVolt training equipment to include the following topics:

 
  • Refrigeration Theory
  • Intro to Heating & Cooling
  • Air Distribution Systems
  • HVAC Electrical
  • HVAC Piping
  • Leak Detection, Evacuation, Recovery, and Charging
 
Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and will have the opportunity to obtain an EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification.
