INTRO TO PLUMBING

This course introduces students to the entry-level skills needed to be successful in the Facilities Maintenance and Operations Plumbing field. Students will learn through a hybrid of lecture and hands-on training. Modules from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Plumbing Curriculum are combined with instructor-led labs to include the following topics:

 
  • Plumbing Safety
  • Math in the Plumbing Trade
  • Soldering & Brazing
  • Plastic, Copper, and Steel Piping
  • Installation & Maintenance of Plumbing Fixtures
 
Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and have the opportunity to obtain a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification card.
