Facilities Maintenance - Core

The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Core Curriculum is a preparatory course for all other NCCER Level 1 Craft Curricula.  Its modules cover the following topics:
  • Basic Safety
  • Intro to Construction Math
  • Intro to Hand Tools
  • Intro to Power Tools
  • Intro to Construction Drawings
  • Basic Communication Skills
  • Basic Employability Skills
  • Intro to Material Handling
Successful completion of this course gives students the basic skills needed to continue into any of the other NCCER craft areas offered by the Division of Workforce and Economic Development at CSN. Students will receive an OSHA 10 Construction Training Card, a Certificate of Completion, and the NCCER Blue Card upon successful completion.
