The HiSET is a national high school equivalency (HSE) assessment for adults who have not graduated from high school or previously obtained an equivalency certificate. The HiSET assesses five subject areas: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The cost of this assessment is $75 for a full battery or $15 each for individual subject subtests.
REFUND POLICY: ALL CLASSES ARE NONREFUNDABLE. PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR CLASSES CAREFULLY.
As noted, all noncredit courses/assessments listed in this schedule are NONREFUNDABLE. You may, however, transfer your fee to another class or assessment by requesting a transfer seven (7) calendar days prior to the start date of the class in which you are currently enrolled. If you fail to request your transfer within the 7-day period of time, you will forfeit your tuition fee. Each examinee is responsible for creating a test-taker profile at http://hiset.ets.org/test_takers/
and must have their HiSET ETS ID Number ready when registering and paying.
If you are re-taking an assessment, you must call the DWED Assessment Center at (702) 651-4524 to schedule your retake. Have your ETS ID# available.
Paper-based assessments are scheduled for specific dates and times. Please be sure you are able to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the scheduled start time of your session, and that you are available for the entire length of the session. Once the exam room doors close at the start of the testing session, you will not be admitted to the session.
Examinees must be at least 16 years old to take the HiSET exams. 16- or 17-year-old examinees must have Release from Cumpolsury Attendance paperwork from their local school disctirct as well as parental signature. This paperwork can be obtained from the Clark County School District office (call 702-799-2273).
