This course provides a comprehensive introduction to electrical fundamentals, control systems, and sensor technology. It covers essential topics such as basic electrical circuits, electrical measurements, inductance and capacitance, power in electrical circuits, control transformers, electrical control diagrams, control logic circuits, relay control circuits, and electronic sensors. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications to prepare students for careers in electrical engineering and related fields.

Prerequisite: Take an industrial safety knowledge test
Required material: Notebook and pen. Hands-on skills guides will be provided to students.
Dress code: Long pants and closed shoes.

  • Techniques for Electrical Measurements
  • Principles of Inductance and Capacitance
  • Electrical Circuit Power Analysis
  • Function and Use of Control Transformers
  • Understanding Electrical Control Diagrams

  • Creating Relay Control Circuits
  • Basics of Electronic Sensors (inductive, capacitive, magnetic, and photoelectric)
  • Applications of Electronic Sensors

Objectives

After completing this class student will be able to demonstrate or perform the following:
  • Understand and analyze basic AC and DC electrical circuits.
  • Perform accurate electrical measurements.
  • Explain the principles of inductance and capacitance.
  • Calculate power, current, resistance and voltage in electrical circuits.
  • Understand the function and application of control transformers.
  • Interpret electrical control diagrams and basic circuits.
  • Analyze control logic and relay control circuits.
  • Understand the basics of electronic sensors and their applications.
