In this course students will improve their skills using watercolor paint as a medium of expression. The instructor will guide students through a number of lessons involving layering and creating background, painting a subject with cast shadow, painting tonal range, portraying movement and gesture by painting animals, and atmospheric perspective, a method of showing depth in a landscape. Students will spend two full class periods creating a colorful final project involving a number of the above techniques.
Note: This is a continuation of Beginning Watercolor Painting. However, students who have not taken the first course can join in if they have a beginning understanding of the medium from other instruction.
Notice:
$20 cash materials fee to be paid to the instructor during the first class.
An additional supply list will be provided after registration.
