Western Tech Center HSE 100 Reading and Writing  Maintenance & Manufacturing Class Information

The Adult Literacy & Language Program offers the High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation classes (formerly referred to as General Education Development or GED) at no cost to those who qualify. Class curriculum includes an on-line component for HSE test prep. Please read the information below for a list of current class offerings at this location.
 
Class Date: 9/5/2017 - 11/9/2017 
Class schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Class time: 6:00PM - 9:00PM
Term length: Approximately 10 weeks
 
Note: All students will participate in assessment testing to determine class assignment. A class assignment is not guaranteed. Advisors will assist students who do not qualify with other course options.

HSE 100 Reading and Writing  Maintenance & Manufacturing
This class is designed to prepare students for the HSE exam while exploring careers in the maintenance and manufacturing fields. Topics include maintenance and manufacturing terminology, vocabulary, and related workplace skills.

How to make an appointment for the Registration/Assessment event

Follow these REQUIRED steps.
 
  1. Sign up here (https://csn.augusoft.net)
Click “Create New Profile” to create your own username, password and profile if new student.
Select “BROWSE
Select Adult Literacy & Language, find your class, then “add to cart”
Click the box: “Agree to refund policy”
Click CHECK OUT (at bottom on page)
Review your confirmation
NOTE: Student must have step 1 completed to attend the Registration/Assessment session.
 
  1. Attend the one day registration and assessment event (approximately three hours).
Place: CSN Sahara West Center
Date: Monday,August 21 2017 
Time  5:30 PM.
 
  1. Attend the first day of class.

Persons under 18 years of age must:
Bring an official withdrawal slip from Clark County School District the day of registration.
Be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian to be eligible for classes through this program.
