The HiSET is a national high school equivalency (HSE) assessment for adults who have not graduated from high school or previously obtained an equivalency certificate. The HiSET assesses five subject areas: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The cost of this assessment is $75 for a full battery or $15 each for individual subject subtests.

As noted, all noncredit courses/assessments listed in this schedule are NONREFUNDABLE. You may, however, transfer your fee to another class or assessment by requesting a transfer seven (7) calendar days prior to the start date of the class in which you are currently enrolled. If you fail to request your transfer within the 7-day period of time, you will forfeit your tuition fee. Each examinee is responsible for creating a test-taker profile at http://hiset.ets.org/test_takers/
and must have their HiSET ETS ID Number ready when registering and paying.
If you are re-taking an assessment, you must call the DWED Assessment Center at (702) 651-4524 to schedule your retake. Have your ETS ID# available.
Once you have purchased your registration, the Assessment Center at CSN Sahara West (2409 Las Verdes St, Las Vegas, NV 89102) is open for testing during the following hours for Fall 2017:
Examinees must email DWED Assessment Services at HSE.Assessments@csn.edu at least 48 hours prior to the testing date with the desired date, time and subject of the tests.
- Wednesdays: 12:30pm - 5:30pm (last seating at 4:15pm)
- Thursdays: 12:30pm - 5:30pm (last seating at 4:15pm)
- Fridays: 8:00am - 3:00pm (last seating at 1:45pm)
- Saturdays: 8:00am - 3:00pm (last seating at 1:45pm)
Examinees must arrive with enough time to be seated and complete their final assessment by the Assessment Center closing time.
Examinees must be at least 16 years old to take the HiSET exams. 16- or 17-year-old examinees must have Release from Compulsory Attendance paperwork from their local school district as well as parental signature. This paperwork can be obtained from the Clark County School District office (call 702-799-2273).
